This session will explore the development and implementation of community based Indigenous language education programs in urban areas for Native American youth. Reflecting on research, as well as personal involvement in urban Navajo language programs, this session will explore how language educators can build upon community resources to support and develop Native American language programs for youth bringing school and community resources together in order to find new spaces for Indigenous language education.
